5-spd auto in the Taco V6 is better than the 6-spd manual anyway, better acceleration AND better fuel milage. So when is the spindle lift coming? :D

Um, your references on how a manual works vs that of an auto are not only mind boggling but completely false. Thanks for playing though.

^I'm talking specifically in the case of the Taco V6, not in general. The 5-spd auto has better gear ratios, so it ends up faster 0-60 mph, faster in the 1/4 mile, and gets better milage. 6-spd Prerunner gets the same milage as a 5-spd 4x4: http://pressroom.toyota.com/releases/2014+toyota+tacoma+product+specs.download

The spindle lift...ohhh when I get the money it will be on!! I kinda wanna do everything at once though as far as tires/wheels/suspension goes.

So i went ahead and did the blackout mod yesterday.
It was quite a task... mostly because I was scared to break anything on my baby.
But here is a before and after... I'm pretty pleased with the results.

You go with a progressive AAL on those TX leafs?

I'm a brand new taco owner. Here's my 5 lug taco. I ditched the awful stock rims and tires and went for yokohama 235 75r15, on 15 inch Konig rims. Not sure if lifting would be a good idea on a 4 cylinder. Opinions?

Dang i didnt even know they made 5lug double cabs, looks good. I've got a lift and regear on mine, lots of members are running either the fatbobs or the readylift. I say go for it, but you're going to have the itch to bump up in tire size which is going to leave your double cab severely under powered if you get the bigger tires to match.

Invest in the URD super first, or 1GR swap. Lifting that pig with the 2tr = slower then a 3 cylinder geo.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. It's my daily driver and I drive a lot. That's why I bought it. I'm happy with it. There's plenty of cool stuff I can do in the mean time. Thanks guys.

I have stock wheels with same tire size as you. I installed the Ready Lift. You will look better. Ride, Handling, and mileage all good.

The last two pics are with the lift? You didn't noticea difference in the power?
