I've got a few cans for lawnmowers and such with those. I broke the first one because I didn't realize you had to push it in for gas to come out. Hate them!

After mentioning to my parents about my recent brake issues, they are graciously going to buy the EBC Stage 5 Brake Kit for me as an early birthday present and also are going to pay for it to be installed and a full brake flush at a shop. My brakes have gotten really bad, almost to the point where I have to put them to the floor to stop completely, so this will definitely be an appreciated mod.

I told them me and some local members could probably get it done easily to save some money but they said brakes are not something to be messed around with (which I agree with) and don't have a problem paying for it.

    Thanks Mom and Dad!

You just pull the caliper, slide the pads out, pull the rotor, slide the new on, put the new pads in, and lube. :notsure: its a little more complicated than that but i know you could do it

I watched the same kit install a few months ago. Really high quality.

Yes, I told them that I wouldn't mind doing it with the help of some local members, but they said they would rather have a shop do brakes if they are paying for it.

You probably just have air in the lines somewhere. How worn are your pads?

Have you noticed any brake fluid leaking anywhere you park the truck?

The flush me and Skygear did didn't really help but I could try flushing them again. No brake fluid leaking that I have noticed.

Honestly, I think I need the new brakes anyway. I've added a lot of weight and am about to add a lot more. (after the new bumper and skids, I will probably be adding about 300#, plus the 60# for the winch)

Approaching 25K. (24300 or so) I wouldn't think my brakes would be this bad at that point but maybe with all the weight I've added? I also used to drive a lot more aggressively but haven't driven like that in probably 5-10K miles.

got link to the break setup? Something MORE might be wrong if that is the case of almost to the floor for stopping. ......

Planned on upgrading the breaks on my rig soon too.

This is the one I got. "TACOMAWORLD" coupoun code valid until end of month. (without quotations) Link to discount thread.

They feel like they are slowing down ok (not great), but once I reach 15 and continue breaking to 0, I pretty much have to put it to the floor.

I have the stock brakes still and am at around 50k and they still feel good. The only difference I noticed was when the SS lines went on that the pedal was much more responsive. That's why I was thinking you have some renegade air in the lines lurking somewhere. You don't think the lines might be kinked somewhere do you?

I will look around the brake lines some more today and make sure one end hasn't come loose or anything.

Doubt your brakes are worn at 25K. I'll be rolling over 44K and I have plenty of life left in mine. With that being said, I may upgrade the pass and rotors this year or next due to all the added weight (~5500-5600# just around town).

Yeah, I'm not really sure why they feel so bad. They are decent at slowing down but I have to push down pretty hard to get it to come to a complete stop. They have also stopped feeling spongey, but rather feel like normal pressure...but also having to do the above to stop.

I have a lot of weight added, but other guys with armor and other weight seem to keep stock brakes for longer... :notsure:
