    Thanks, good to be back!
    It's what I tell everyone,
"Boot camp was... well boot camp. There was a lot of yelling, sweating and plane watching-- I'm just glad to be home!"
Not a whole lot of crying, but there was a lot of "fuckkkkk" when lights came on in the morning or you get told to "go empty your pockets"

Haha yup...Well goodluck at ITB. Have fun on the Alpha Shelf haha :p 8 months ago I graduated ITB and hit my unit and now in a week we're leaving for Australia. Make sure you get out on the weekends. I wouldn't suggest Oceanside but its where everyone in ITB goes. Just don't be a super boot haha. Stay away from Moto backpacks, leave the tags in your wall locker. You can eat at the longboarder cafe which is pretty bomb, its right across from the theater. Lots of surplus stores to go waste your money on stuff that you'll just get issued to you once you hit the fleet. If you try and be squad leader during ITB and hold the position you'll probably pick up Lance which is nice but you'll still get treated as a "junior marine" once you get to your unit. Also, pay attention in the classes cause your seniors will expect you to know your s*** once you get to the fleet.

    stay motivated! Semper Fi

Ya know I tried really hard to forget that. It was fun enough but the whole weekend I felt like someone had taken a sledge to my body.

I've heard about the hikes there, no bueno... but oh well. Eat a bowl of fck it and move on. Ha! Yeah I don't think there's any worries for me doing super boot stuff... although I'm sure enough to do some boot shenanigans, which I'm probably already guilty of-- oh well I'm fresh out of MCRD.
Words of wisdom, I could always use as much as I can get-- thanks!
Looking forward to getting to the fleet

23 and a boot in Infantry? You are going to be the same age as your Senior Marines. Don't do the stupid stuff you see your peers doing and you'll be fine. Ask questions if you do not know, learn anything you do not know, and earn your arrogance. Its not bragging if you can do it; you just have to be able to do it every time.

Why would you buy a USMC shirt? Or a loan at 24% interest? Or do the other half million things that boots do that we tell them not to do?
