Yeah that guy was clueless. I wish the "rescuers" had been recording when they showed up, to hear him them.

haha yea the Portland news stations don't have a very high degree of intellectual reporting. I swear at least one of these stories pops up every year too.

"wilderness", "survival instincts", freaking Gerber knife...

I'm surprised the guy didn't start drinking his own urine. I like how he thought he might actually be a challenge for a cougar even with a knife. I doubt the guy could figure out how to use a fly swatter against a fly!

And that is why mothers should not do meth when they are preggers!

Why? The fact that someone does not believe in one theory, that being evolution, does not mean they discard all science. There are many, many scientists who believe in "intelligent design".

O shit, billy badass is swinging his lock down hammer.;) My B Jaime, I read the article and immediately thought WTF, so I linked it. Forgot about the Zero Poly religo stance on TW.

Yes, and many of them are disregarded within the science community. Evolution has scientific facts behind the basis while ID has GOD. 'God, is the closing of a door' (Tyson, Cosmos) where as Science is the opeing of so many others. I'd rather open more doors to new discoveries then entertain the thought of simply saying God, the end.

it was a valid WTF. it's the endless discussion that follows that is the issue. just like there are certain things in the funny pics thread that are allowed to stay as long as they are funny and dont go over the top w/ religious/political discussion afterwards.
