Looking to buy a heavy-ass travel trailer and wanting to invest in a good cooler. I know that the 689 is a biggun at 11"x11" and was wondering if anyone with a 2nd gen was running one. Thanks guys

    TRANSMISSION COOLERS
This is how Low Pressure Drop technology works::
When Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) is cold it is viscous. The unique Tru-Cool design allows the colder, thicker ATF to flow more efficiently through two open bypass channels positioned at the top of the cooler. As operating temperatures increase, the ATF becomes hotter and thinner, It's then directed through the core where it is cooled. Tru-Cool's highly efficient cooling technology combines improved protection against lube failure with optimal heat transfer.

Long Tru-Cool Oil Coolers offer advanced cooling protection for many towing applications. The advanced technology out performs TUBE & FIN Designs, Delivers up to 15 times less flow restrictions, 30% more cooling delivers maximum heat transfer, Self-Regulating for maximum lube flow protection through start-up, varied temperatures and driving conditions, heavy loads and towing.

Yea I read the bible, I'm not totally sold on what type to get yet. I really was interested in knowing if an 11x11 will fit or not without being a huge pain in my ass.

I installed a Hayden 678 which was 3/4x 11x91/2. It was the biggest I could install without modifing the center support in front of the radiator. I mounted the cooler about 3 inches in front of radiator and higher up so the bumper does not block the air flow. By using alumium bar stock 1/4"x1" I made my own mounting rails, also when I mounted the trans cooler to the alumium rails I isolated the too with rubber spacers. I did have to relocate the horns from the left to the right side of the truck. I did have the dealership top off the trans fluid when they replaced a leaking rear seal I found on the transmission.
