Not bad if you have the equipment and know-how to put it together.
    Exactly!

Have any of you guys considered or signed up for the Northeasters Run coming up on May 16-18th at Rausch Creek Offroad Park?

I know I am a bit biased but it really is a great time. The guys are planning on 110+ trucks at the run this year.
Some pretty awesome raffle prizes will be handed out Saturday (17th) at the dinner/raffle. Lift kits, winch, wheel spacers, recovery gear, etc

I spent over $3,800 on gas in 2013  damn 285s! Looks like a beater daily driver would be worth it. More math revealed that i averaged 13.79 MPG

Yeah I'm right around $3,380 budgeted for gas, but extra trips add more.

I don't even bother to calculate it. Evan, you might be able to deduct your mileage since you use your truck for work

Turbo tax ftw. Unless you have some weird complicated tax situation I found turbo tax to be just fine. We did an accountant one year, and I ran turbo tax for the Hell if it to compare and for us the return was basically the same.

my stepdads best friend owns a tax business so I get a good deal, plus he always helps me find write offs that I would overlook if I did everything myself. Do truck mods count as write offs? ;) I have used my winch for work.

The only reason I use my credit cards for basically everything is the rewards programs. I pay each card off monthly, but getting airline miles and Subaru Bucks isn't such a bad deal. If you play your cards right and are responsible with payments, it can work well.

I'm trying to get a good rating so I can get a Chase Toyota card. Get me some Toyota points!

Chase has a Toyota card as well? Are the rewards points only towards the purchase of a vehicle?

My Subaru card was good for OEM Parts/Accessories as well as vehicle purchases. I became friendly with my parts counter guy and I bought many, many aftermarket parts through the parts counter with my Subaru Bucks.

Nope it's good for accessories, service, vehicles, anything you can buy at a dealership, except stuff from the vending machine.
