When you sprayed your rims, did you take them off or left them on?

    Thanks for the tip.

So I'm planning to use regular car shop than finishing it off with mothers back to black... Will that work?

Gonna need one before the May camping trip...

let the slider shipment come in, allow some time to paint, and let's schedule a mod day...

Anyone have a place where we could set up shop??? Even with tents if needed?? I may have a place in mind, but no shade and no electricity.. would need generators or charge the batteries.

Almost done on my rear bumper peeps! Hopefully be ready to either spray paint, or powdercoat this weekend!

Ivan is the man for sure! He just needs more lights

I like how you roll, my friend :)

I can't believe they don't know (or care?) any better. And if they just impact everything to save time, then why are they always running behind...

Good thing you can fix anything

What is spec for lugs? Nissan says 95ft lbs.

So basically you are the only thing you can bring to a mod day? Better bring some beer or something..

lol, just kidding! Must suck to be so far away from everything, but also relatively close.

    Looks beefy! And mean!

Just be careful scrubbing. If you scrub too hard and puncture the plastidip it will peel. I accidentally stabbed mine when I was working on the rear and now I have to re-do it. Just gonna re-do all of them :p

Good job Iven! I like this forum, the aloha spirit really shows. When I met Brandon while selling him my grill on craigslist, he introduced me to the forums, and I've been stuck here since! Good people, on here. It must be the tacomas... And one frontier, ahaha. I appreciate all the help and advice, also all those who arrange the get togethers. It makes owning a tacoma even more fun.

As for 4 wheel parts, that's pretty shady work. That's why I only purchase stuff from them and install elsewhere. Even when I bought tires from them I just took it elsewhere. Too many horror stories, even from Toyota, that's why I haven't even taken my truck for the free oil changes.
There should be more accountability from mechanics.

I hope to finish up some home projects so I can get back to wrenching on the truck and make it out to some events. A shelf full of parts isn't fun!

That's exactly why I do my own work. I've know 4wp did shady work for a long time. One of my friends used to work there and got canned because he would tell the other mechanics there they can't let work out the door like that.

I had Maui Off Road put new wheels and tires on my old 05 taco and they impacted the lug nuts on so tight it stretched the lug studs. The only nuts I was able to get off were the ones that broke. I went back down and all I got was an apology and they loosened the nuts and re-torqued them with a torque wrench. I ended up replacing them all after that and never called that place again.

Thinking of a bedside design.. What do you think of something like this. Yes it is just Oahu, but that is where we are...

My truck would probably get keyed here :D
I'm actually waiting to get a few more scratches across my TRD sticker so I have an excuse to peel it off. I am not a big fan of the bedside decals, or stickers in general.
The custom ones do look good, just not for me :)

if it's been 6 months, you should be good to pull it off.

makes washing the truck soo much easier. the paint might also fade un-evenly if you leave the sticker on for too long and then peeling it off....I could see the color difference on mine after a year
