Yeah, we got the warning this evening and I went out to see what it like around us. Looked north and thought to myself "have fun Roseville".

My buddy lives and works in Roseville. He sent me a pic of one that touched down but then dispersed.

Does anyone have a press locally? I want to rebuild the nose cone on my supercharger and if anyone has a press and would like to help that would be awesome.

Hey fellas, need a little help here. My best bud is going to check out a Tacoma today, hopefully buy it! I've been on his ass about getting a 4x4 for years, and he's been to a few TW events, wheeled with us and drank the Kool Aid. Now he's about to become a member. I just want to get some advice on the rig he's looking at.

    2005 Tacoma DC/LB SR5 4x4
    Super white
    31k miles (!!! I know!!!)

    $19,500

Sounds too good to be true, and it's local. But the Carfax came back clean, and we're going to look at it tonight.

Anything to pay attention to specifically? I mean are there any common problems with the 05 that the later 2nd gens don't have?

Any tips would be appreciated. And I'm a fairly experienced used car buyer, so spare me the obvious. Looking more for '05 dclb specific issues/pitfalls.

Thanks guys! And going to see it at 6pm, so reply back soon! :)

They aren't too bad to do especially if you have a vise or press. Done plenty when I worked in my stepdad's shop. The hardest part is putting the cap back on and not knocking a needle bearing down, but you just use some extra sticky grease for install and flush it out after. If you need a hand let me know.

Check the drivers side engine mount. Some very early 05's had bad welds. They redesigned the whole mount sometime mid 2006 or for 2007 MY.

    Ya it's a killer deal.

Thx, we scoped it out pretty good. Thing is immaculate.

So my buddy's gonna buy it. He dropped a down payment on the guy to hold it, and is getting the rest of the $ tomorrow.

It's in perfect shape, like brand new looking. I crawled underneath it and looked around, it was cleaner than ones you see on the lot. It's a 1 owner 30,750 mile '05! Built at NUMMI. Guy was a tanker pilot for CDF (turns out I actually knew the owner, what are the odds!) and he never drove it. Towed a trailer a few times and parked it in the garage.

Stoked for my buddy! He's gonna need some new tires though, the stockers are pretty wimpy, and almost 10 yrs old! Can't wait to help him pour all his hard earned $ into it :)
