Its just about unbearable without my truck. I'm up in Greenland, and my trucks back in Ny. Only good thing is my work truck up here is an old (And I mean OLD) Toyota Hlux 2.4L diesel doublecab with 5 on the floor 4x4, and is a blast to drive. well, I'll be home this comming monday.

At least you have a toyota to drive. It could have been an old piece of junk. Have a safe trip home!

My dad was stationed in Thule, Greenland back in the early 50s. He said there wasn't much to do except drink and play cards.
    Welcome back!

Whenever I am away from my truck, I miss it dearly. I feel your pain.

Thanks guys for the good words. I like it up here in Greenland, its a bit cold, but I'm used to it, and compared to anarctica, this place is a beach. Besides where else can you go down to the one local store and buy musk ox and caribou - and drive a Hilux around, its a good time, just always stinks being away from loved ones, and of course, my new truck, which hit 1,111 miles when I parked it on base, so that should be a good omen. Well, back out to the flght line. Yea, we have planes that gp up to alert (thule), but we base most of our ops out of Kanger (kangerlussuaq), and fly most of our missions to Dye site 2 (Raven), and Summit (GeoSummit).

    Take care guys.
