    Hey Guys,

I have looked through a bunch of threads and can't find exactly the answer I'm looking for. Without doing my research (dumb idea) I ordered a Rough Country lift for my truck about two years ago. It came with front strut extensions, new shocks and a 2" block for the rear. I know that this was not the best option but can't go back now. So my question is, if I get rid of the strut extensions and purchase the toytec height adjustable coilovers for the front end (http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Front-Lifts-Coilovers_c_90.html) and leave the rough country rear blocks (I am saving up for a full leaf pack at a later date) will the truck sit level with the billy's at their preset 3" of lift? Again the rear end is sitting on 2" blocks with stock springs.

    Thanks for the help!

Get the bilstein 5100's and Eibach springs. You will also need the top spacers & driver side lean spacer.
Set the spring seat clips on the second groove which is the .85 setting. This will give you a full 3 inch lift in the front. I did this with a 2 inch Add A Leaf in the rear. ( non TSB leaf pack ) I was about a 1 /2 inch higher in the rear.

Great! that's what I wanted to hear! Do the top spacers not come with these shocks (http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/ToytecBilstein-height-adjustable-coilovers_p_363.html) and if not which toytec spacers are you referring to? (I don't want another spacer lift). Also I assume the drivers side lean spacer are these the parts (http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Front-Top-Plate-Spacer-One--14_p_351.html).

    Thanks again

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Those are basically what I have except for a 2nd gen and they come with a thick top mount which acts as a spacer to give the full 3" lift. I wouldn't consider this a spacer lift though. It's kinda both, because the eibachs give 1.6" lift (2nd gens)on their own so the thicker aluminum top mount is in place to give the extra height. The 1/4" top plate spacer for the driver side lean isn't very big so it doesn't give the negative/ harsh ride that a full on spacer lift would give.

    Hey,

Yeah that's what I was thinking. So all I need to order is the adjustable coil overs (http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/...vers_c_90.html) and the spacer for the lean on the drivers side then? And I won't have any of the "spacer lift problems" like crunching my front shocks before the bump stop makes contact? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get it right this time because shipping to Canada is killer so I'd rather order what I need all in one shot.

Badgers, I don't need no stinking Badgers.
No, one of the reasons for the adjustability is to remove the taco lean so no spacer needed there is lots of thread left.

If you can afford it, save up for remote resi extended icons, or kings, you will want them later anyway.

    Hey,

So no "lean" spacer needed then? I always seem to get some people saying yes and some no lol. I Like I said I really don't want to order the shocks then find out later I need the lean spacer and have to pay shipping twice. Thanks for the advise. From what I've read the 5100's are perfect for what I need, at least for the foreseeable future. Some resi icons would sure be sweet though :D

The link you posted regarding the setup your looking to get was the non adjustable billies and Eibachs that came pre assembled for 3" lift. If you get those then yes you will need the lean spacer.

If you get the adjustable Coilovers that are basically the same thing except they allow for adjustability, then no you won't need the lean spacer.

Great! :D Thanks. But why do they call them "height adjustable" then? I was under the impression that they come set at 3" of lift but you could adjust them by moving the C-clip?

My fault, I shouldn't have said "non adjustable". They are adjustable because of the C clip. But to maintain 3" lift the C clip needs to stay where it comes pre-set at. I guess you could lower it if you wanted about .85" less of a lift, But you should not go any higher than what it come preset at (2nd notch).

The adjustable Coilovers that the other guy was talking about are the ones that come with the threaded adjustability (not a C clip). Those set ups come with a spanner wrench so you can adjust the height while it's still on the truck. The setup your looking at is adjustable but you must take the whole assembly off to adjust it. But again you really can't go any higher than what it comes preset at.

So with the setup your looking at you will need to get the 1/4" lean spacer.

With the Coilovers that come with the threaded adjustability you wouldn't because you can adjust the driver side a little higher than the passenger side to compensate for the driver side lean.

    Here's a fully adjustable Coilover...

    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/ToyTec-Coil-Overs-FJ-03-UP-4Run-05-UP-Tacoma_p_13.html

As you can see, these Coilovers come with bilsteins, eibach coils (except red) just like the setup you want, but instead of a C clip they have the threaded adjustability.
