bolt on wheel spacers, your thoughts

i come from a car scene where wheel spacers are used a lot in order to achieve sick wheel fitment (flush with the fenders while being low)
i've owned 2 nissan 240sx's with wheels spacers and have NEVER had any problems running them.
however, i was wondering what some of your guys thoughts were on using wheels spacers on our trucks.
i have some wheels on my mind, but they are actually 5x4.5, so i was wondering if its a good idea (or not) to go and get a set of 6x5.5 to 5x4.5 bolt on wheel spacers to be able to run them.
being that taco's are MUCH heavier compared to a 240sx, i HAD to question the safety of running bolt on spacers on a taco. i've ran up to 2" wheel spacers on my 240sx and never had a wheel bearing murdered.

may i ask what size spacer you're using?
and if its just a regular 6x5.5-6x5.5 spacer or a bolt pattern conversion spacer

 

not sure of the size, i think it makes a 2.5 inch offset and it is bolt on

sounds like it might be ok on the wheel bearing part
now to find out if its gonna be safe to be running 1 less wheel stud

anymore opinions anyone?

 

i wouldnt run with one less stud, what happened to it?

 

i have all 6 studs
i was just gonna get a wheel spacer that would convert from 6x5.5 bolt pattern to 5x4.5 bolt pattern so i can run the wheel i want to run.
the wheel bolt pattern is 5x4.5, hence the "one less stud" statement

 

i dont think itd be too big of an issue then, as long as it was made for it
