I got 2 3/4" after settling with the 884s on my reg cab 4cyl so 2" sounds right.

So I have my Dakar's, OME shocks, Trim packer, LR UCA's, 1\4" top plate spacers for full 3", and sway bar relocation brackets on the garage floor to be installed in a few weeks. My question is geared to OZ but anyone can chime in. This kit is replacing a spacer/aal lift that worked OK. My questions are after the lift looking to put a few hundred miles before alignment to let it all settle, if it does; good call or get it done asap? And secondly in regards to leaf pack noise is there anything I should do before installing or during to quite them down a bit before the noisey leafs start?

Also plan on fluid film on packs and shocks due to salt from CT winters:mad:

Crap! I don't have a swaybar relocation braket kit. Didn't think I'd need one but after reading I guess a couple of y'all run them.

What brand and where from? Also while I'm at it might as well order center pin collars, where do y'all get them from?

I never put on the sway relocation bracket. Haven't needed it yet.
In this thread somewhere there is the link to the center pin collars.
Oz prob can find it pretty quick cause he is always pasting it cause everyone always asks lol

I'm sure this has been answered in the previous 4,428 posts, but finding it is proving tough......

I've ordered my OMETAC05LK kit, which should be here shortly (waiting on Dakars). I plan to get the other incidentals ordered here soon. My question is, OEM bushings or urethane bushings for the Dakars?

I'm still on the fence about UCAs and if I'll need them. DCSB at 4,700 lbs "every day weight" with 885 coils. I guess I'll have to wait and see

I used the OEM bushings with no issues , you will end up wanting UCAs later , might as well install it all at once

I don't know how common this is but taking my swaybar off i managed to snap 2 of the bolts trying to pull it out. And honestly the truck handles on par or better with the 885s and no sway

I just ordered new parts cause I just didn't want to ride without a sway. I messed up one bolt last weekend. How does it ride on the interstate? I do mostly around town driving (40-50 mph) and highway driving but I have it rigged up right now but sway still on.

I haven't noticed really any difference to be honest, I planned on keeping my sway bar until I busted the bolts and figured its more of a headache to put back in than just rip it out

I ran with sway bar off after I put in my Suspension and the initial turn in just wasn't as good. I just pull it when I'm going off road and want the articulation. What bolts are you all breaking? Bolts holding suspension components on to your vehicle should not be breaking.

Anyone got a decent method for pressing the bushings into the eyelets on the rear shocks?

They have an hourglass shape to them. Guess I'm going to have to rent the press or find a vise.

Easy to say things shouldn't break when you live in Phoenix :p And it wasn't the bolt that broke it was the nut that's tacked into the frame rail for the swaybar to bolt into

Hmmm mine came already in there from headstrong offroad.
I didn't know they came separate otherwise.
Vaseline it up and c clamp it in would be my first attempt.
