Just curious, why did you go smaller on your tires? Seems like everyone on here is trying to go bigger.

I just finished installing my CURT hitch. Took about 1 1/2 hours by myself. Tomorrow I need to go and buy a socket extension to finish torquing the 4 bolts I couldn't reach. Then I will install the wiring harness. Looks great and easy to install

Thanks guys. Kinda on a budget when looking at covers. Extang trifectas not the cheapest of course but for its price it seems to be the best quality. Heard good reviews on it too.

Check out Craigslist too, especially if your on a budget. I see them for sale all the time around here. People take them off before trading their truck black in.....

This past weekend this happened. I was hearing a noise similar to when the fronts need to be changed. So I pulled the wheels and I was close to needing pads so I did a pad slap with OEMS but I still heard the noise. I jacked up the rear and spun the tires but really didn't hear anything but I decided to pull the drums anyways. One drum dropped off without any resistance and the other was stuck. I tried to loosen it using the auto adjuster wheel but it wouldn't turn. I used the bolt holes to push it off but when I did the springs that held the pads popped off. I cleaned the auto adjusters on both since they were both not turning which is surprising since I use the e-brake all the time and the rears were done not too long ago.

When I went to put the brakes back together, on the one side I noticed the cups that hold the springs on the pads and the little metal stud were ruined. Crap. Local shop is closed so off to Pepboys it is. The guy was really helpful but the Tacoma/4runner kit was only available for order at any store within reasonable driving distance. I started asking to see spring kits from other makes. Luckily the spring kit from another make had the right length stud and the replacement springs that I ruined. I think it was for a Ford Ranger but not sure. Put it all back together and wow, the brakes are high again and grab fast. Noise is gone too.

    Some stuff...
Powder coated and baked my ATO IFS skid. :headbang: Went with Prismatic Powder - Vibrant Silver Vein for the color (http://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors/PVB-5825/). Can't wait to get that bitch mounted! :turtleride:

Cleaned it up good with acetone and baked it a few times to burn off oils and debris.
    [IMG][IMG]

Shot it with Vibrant Silver Vein.

    [IMG][IMG]

Bake is done! :bananadance: Now let it cool. Can't really see the color from inside the oven, but I think it's gonna look good on the Bitch. :D

That's why I got a Fold-A-Cover G4. It opens on both end and you can lock both sides too. G4= worth every penny
