After searching google and tw I am asking anyways. I need to know what probs I may run into with the install. I downloaded the instructions from besttop. Ordered 2 extra clamps from them as well. Have a spare piece of aluminum to hold down the window next to the cab. Now my questions are I have the factory bed guard with the guards on the bedsides. Do I need to take these off to mount or anything like that. No one really says anything about that that I have found. Sorry if it's been stated on the forum here. I couldn't find it. A few of us ordered them recently on the forum so this could help more than me. Any advice/tips r greatly appreciated. Don't have it yet just wanna b prepared when it gets here first of next week. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

I dont know what you are talking about in terms of the bed guard but the install is pretty easy. I also have the two exta clamps and a piece of aluminum to hold down the front. Works great. Goodluck with the install. Take it slow and dont force anything.

Just meaning how it's connected to the bed of the truck. Can't really find close up pics on the internet.

This is the best one i have. You can see I used a square extruded piece of aluminum to get some extra thickness on the front of the bed.

You just slide nuts into the bed rails and then bolt the clamp on. its easy.

Oh I got it. No drilling necessary. So the clamps slide into the channels and then just clamp down on the hardware?

Do the clamps lock into some type of lip to hold the rails to the truck. Rails look flat from my vantage point....

It's flat but they lock tight. You will see. The top doesn't move.

Wondering if I can use my tire carrier still or if I need to go another route.
