will post pics soon. Ended up doing 30% on top of the rear windows and 15% on front. Still not dark enough for my liking. May keep it like it is or take it back. Its dark but still can see through it pretty well

It's interesting how different states and provinces vary their tint laws. As I said before, here you aren't allowed to have any aftermarket tint on the driver and passenger side windows. Their reasoning: If the fire trucks or cops need to get you out of the vehicle quick and say your doors are creased in, they won't be able to smash the windows out because the tint holds the glass together. Plus cops like to see who is in the vehicle but they don't tell you that.

No lower eyebrow on the windshield is legal either, mostly because the pedestrians can't make eye contact with the driver as easily.

Don't think the mechanic that inspects the truck gives a crap but the cops in VA do. Legally you're only suppose to have 50% on the front. I had 35% on a galant (bought it this way) and a state trooper pulled up beside me on I-81 then immediately hit his breaks pulled in behind me and turned on his lights and pulled me over (I wasn't speeding or anything, that was the only thing he got me for). I thought in order to get a tint ticket you had to be speeding or some other violation had to occur. Got a fix it ticket and went to court and had pieces of the tint in a baggy and pictures of the front windows of the car proving I took the tint off, didn't have to pay a fine. Back seat windows on a car 35%, rear glass 35%. SUV/Truck I read that it can be as dark as you want for back seat and rear glass. No clue why suv/truck is different from car but that's what I read.

A friend of mine has a dodge challenger with 20% all around he has gotten 5 window tint tickets within 5 months. He just goes in to the court and pays the fine. Must be nice to have money to do that.

20 all around is great. Except for at night whe your trying to back up. That's when I don't like it

Oh and when. The cop gives a ticket for illegal tint. That really sucks too

thats what i am trying to avoid. NC is 30% but you have it in the front windows so i'm curious if you had 30% in the front he would bother with a ticket.

If he meters it Yea. Basically it's an add on ticket.

I have only been stopped once for tint alone. But really it's used a lot for PC stops.

yea I think I am just going to go with 35% fronts and 20% backs.

Can I ask what everyone paid around for their tints. Going to call a few places and get quotes but just to have an idea of the price range I should be in.

I'm pretty happy with my 35% front. I think if it were any darker, I'd have a hard time seeing through it at night, as the other poster said.

You put 20 on top of the factory 20? Why not just paint the windows black then?
