From what I have been told older gas engines can benefit from diesel oil. It does require that the oil be changed on a more frequent basis.

Yes I wasn't sure about it if it was 100% synthetic or not. If it is not I should maybe use the Mobil 1 fully synthetic

I am situated in a French country on the ocean pacific where the Toyota dealer doesn't sell tacomas but instead. Tacoma is by far, better than the hilux... That's why I chose to import from USA.

I'm not arguing, I love my US taco better as far as the design, perfect ergonomics, comfort and mechanistically. I don't care for boxed frame (hilux), and actually like the rear double-C frame better for hard loads/impacts, but would like to hear from your experience why the Taco is better.
I did experience a hilux briefly overseas but as a passenger for a 15 minutes, and when I slightly expressed my excitement to the driver he thought I was not right in the head...

I already making plans to sell my access cab, buy a 4dr (07-09) and send her off to dieseltoys..

Tacoma is way better due to its superior material used inside and outside like all the interior components, the exterior paint really cheap on the hilux as it fades as fast as possible, maybe because it is made in Thailand? Moreover the automatic transmission only have 4 speed automatic with the 3.0 d4d engine.
However I have to admit that the hilux is tougher so it is more a work truck than the Tacoma. As you can notice in the specs the payload is not far to 1 ton
