I admittedly haven't read the rules for 6100 myself but I thought it was a spec motor class, sealed LS3 kind of deal.

Looks sick guys. I love your truck. 1st Gen extra cabs are a solid platform.

You had some really clean passes and had some clean faster truck passes on you as well. Nice job

You should've been in the truck around the 5:50 mark in that video going across the lake bed!!! That was gnarly!!!!

I like to think I'm mostly a glass half full guy and while things didn't go the way I would have liked and it seems like I "wasted" a lot of money, I feel like I was able to apply some mental lessons from the first time I raced and experienced a ton more as a result of our circumstances that I might otherwise have. Driving in the dark, in the dust....a lot, and working to get out of the way of a lot of people added a lot of elements that I hadn't dealt with before.

I'm not really an ego guy and it doesn't hurt my feelings to acknowledge things I'm not that good at. I have a total of about 6 hours of seat time in the dirt, in this truck, in the last year and a half. For me running up and down the same section at tranny alley a dozen times gets pretty comfortable but strapping on a helmet, fighting through the dark and dust, and trying to not smack what's in front of us while worrying about who's barrelling down on us from behind was a pretty big challenge for me.

M-F my biggest challenge is figuring out which train I feel like stuffing myself on. There is a huge learning curve for me still and a lot of things I can and will improve on but considering the circumstances I'm pretty happy that I didn't wad the truck or make any really bonehead decisions.

Yeah it's a Spec Engine Class, but that means it has to be approved (Stamped and Sealed) by I believe it's TurnKey Engine Supply. So I'm assuming any brand of motor can be approved as long as it meets the requirements.

I know most teams in the 6100 Class run the LS3, it's probably because the Ford power-plant approved for the class has less power.

It is; all pro's heim steering kit.

They're great... But they wear out way faster than the stock set up.
