So I was driving my truck to work today and I have absolutely no power in 5th gear on the highway. The cruise control wouldn't even maintain 65mph. Any ideas? I take my truck to the dealership for service every 5000 miles so everything should be up to standard. They have not reported any issues to fix with my truck so far.

Forgot to say it's got a little over 43k on it.

Don't see the difference. They are both ridiculous. And a lot of my truck is illegal.

No grinding that I know off, no buring rubber smell either. I have power in 4th gear... But the low end of the band is gone. I have the 4cly but it wasn't this bad. I ran two tanks of premium and it was fine, then switched back to regular and it was fine for the first tank now it's back to no power. I may have an exhaust leak but haven't climbed under it with someone reving it up (I only hear it at the high end of the rpm)

It seems to change based on premium or regular both from the same station.

Is the knock sensor emissions based or is it something needed for the car to run. Any way to bypass it?

its needed for the truck to run as far as i know.. its there to prevent knocks that break engine parts.. i wouldnt bypass it.. but at the same time im making a guess based off what youve said... id take it to a good mech and have them look at it, then do the work yourself depending on what it is...
