theres really no point of removing it not enough gain to justify removing it

I removed mine and definately noticed a better sound and a small top end gain. Haven't tracked my MPG yet though. Am I asking for trouble with it out?

When I removed mine, my butt dyno was expecting something, so I think it manifested the feeling of more power on its own. Overall its really not noticable, but I think the throttle kicks a little quicker now.

The 2nd gen. 4 bangers are the ones who gain more from removing the 2ndary air filter.

Your truck should be fine without it. If you feel a difference and like how your truck runs, you can do without it.

No gain of any kind. Gadget has tested it on a dyno, and found nothing. I have done the same, as well as some MPG tests, and found no gain. Given the surface area of the filter, it is transparent to the engine.

Yeah....I was really hoping to see SOMETHING, but after finding nothing, I regret it. If anything, its a second line of defense for something getting into the engine, which, to me, is more important.

Why would you do that? It made it a cold air intake... now you're sucking in the heat from the engine bay.... thus reducing the amount of actual air entering the engine......
