I either hook my phone to it so I can play pandora and I usually just throw my phone in the front cup holder, since that cup holder get used very little because I have a standard trans. Or I hook my iPad to it and I have a ram mount for my iPad. If both my cup holders are full I'll just lay the phone in the leather shift boot and it usually rides alright right there. I use to put my iPod in the glovebox of my s10 and slam the glovebox shut on the cord, it never hurt anything, it just looked kind of dumb with the cord hanging out.

    Sir Brent.

    Please elaborate.

Pretty sure my head unit does not have rear USB. But if I could run that outlet into my center console, I'd love that.

I love that the iPod is tucked out of the way and completely hidden. I want to come up with something similar. My greatest (read: dumbest) idea so far is to get a really long USB cord for my iPod, have it plugged into the face of my head unit, run it back into the dash (cleanly somehow) and reroute it to my center console. Where the iPod would rest.

My head unit has usb ports front and rear. This was why I wanted both as to not have any wires coming from the dash unless a friend wanted to play their music.

I just used this, and anytime I need to charge my phone I just plug it in there and it keeps it out of the way. you could run this into your center console or glove box to be fully hidden if you wanted...

    Can't charge with bluetooth ;)

Plus his ipod probably doesn't have bluetooth anyways.

But yeah, any time I don't need to charge my phone I just use bluetooth. Best thing ever!

I have new plugs. About 12k miles old. May need new wires. I've been throwing codes for o2 sensors I've just never replaced them. I will have to try cleaning my throttle body and maf though.

You just said what your problem was. The o2 sensors are throwing codes for a reason haha

Lol I figured as much. Just have had more fun things to spend money on I guess than o2 sensors haha.

I realized my head unit does have front/rear USB. But the rear has the Bluetooth adapter in it.

Another solution I might go for is to sign up for iTunes match. It stores your entire iTunes library in the cloud (technically matches songs in your library to what they already have stored on their servers, plus it gives you a 25,000 song allotment for songs it does not recognize).

Anywho... you can then stream your library from the cloud to your iPhone (or other device). From there you can stream your iPhone through the bluetooth on the head unit.

But that only works when you have signal. So I'd just have to plug the iPod in the front when in the mountains/camping/etc.

I'm in the same boat. I don't like cords/wires anywhere visible.

I freely admit... I'm not a rocket mechanic. But I think therein lies your fuel economy problem.

Ah, you could just plug the bluetooth adapter in the front and run a usb cord from the back. then just hide it wherever you want...

Well technically it's the p0420 code so I don't actually know if it's the 02 sensors or the cat?

Then why did you say it was the o2? Haha

If your truck is throwing codes and you aren't getting the performance you expect, then it's not really a guessing game as to what your problem is...

5 minutes of research that I just did tells me that you need to replace the 02 sensors first, and if that doesn't get rid of the code then it's your cat...

Basically, clean you MAF and throttle body, clear the code.

If it comes back, install new o2 sensors, clear the code.

If it comes back again then it's probably your cat...
