Is this a common thing? It's an e locker on an 06 trd.

The fill plug is not leaking, i just sprayed pb blaster on it.
Is this something I could weld or jb weld?

Looks to be coming from the front or top of the diff housing and blowing back as you drive . Have a look at the diff breather mod . Any oil on the front of the housing ?

Get it warm and gunk it. Then check level. After you make sure it's full run it a while and see where it's coming from.

When I was doing my suspension work earlier this month, a guy with an early model Tundra came into the garage I was using the lift at.

This diff was leaking fluid from roughly the same area. It rusted from the outside in, $937 just for the differential/axle housing, nothing inside. I'd say clean the crusted up dirt and oil off, but that might open up the perforations (if that is what you have)

Clean it up, run it until there is clear evidence of where the leak is exactly. If its at the wettest spot, it appears to be at the lap of the weld, no big deal to weld it - just drain the oil first, refill after its cooled.
