    Installed all new inner and outer tierods again last wednesday. Getting pretty good at it now lol. Also aligned it using my wheels with the tires off. Pretty much bang on with my toe. Took it to get aligned and found out my upper bjs had some play so i got them replaced too.

    Front end is pretty much all new! Did my steering rack, lcas, lower bjs, tierods, upper bjs, cvs and in the last 6 months. Everything feels very stiff which im not use to

    That looks normal. The orange specks are just from the cold weather starts

    That's why I asked if it was two different plugs. The edges of the electrodes in the first pic are sharp, looks almost brand new. The second one, not so much.

    That is actually a little troubling. Unless it is the lighting or the photo, those look like two different plugs.

    So the build up that is seem in the second pic is only on one side? :confused:

    I am by no means an expert on this stuff, nor about how the combustion chamber design of the 3.4L differs from non-hemi head designs, that I do know about from past experience. But I find it a little troubling that you have build up only on one side of the plug. To me it indicates you are not getting uniform fuel combustion in the cylinder head.

    If this is true, it could be the source of your knock. Which plug is that? Middle, passenger?

    You may be back at altitude but I'll bet your not running 87 octane. :rolleyes:

    I think you have left something off your list. That is the fuel delivery, specifically, the injector. They are designed to spray a very precise pattern of fuel into the combustion chamber to enhanse combustion. Think spay paint nozzle. What happens to the way the paint is delivered when the nozzle gets gunked up.

    I have never used seafoam (only kno what I read on tw), but can you also run it in the fuel?

    I bet you're right, a fuel injector gunked a little or not spraying correctly (for any reason) will be a issue.

    I think that is faulty thinking. The higher octane changes how the fuel burns and may be masking the the problem.

    actually...gas can vary a lot by area..how old it is..and more importantly, ethanol content. High as 30% down out here. Plus different companies use different additives anyways.

    its not gonna be same place to place..hell..even month to month.

    But i kinda doubt its an injector myself. You MPGs would be suffering more and more inconsistent.

    gas does vary though. It's a mixture of heptane/octane and now ethanol, and as it each station will not have exactly the same mix
