Help on height of truck for lift and garage

    I am wanting to lift the tacoma im looking to buy, however I want to know how tall a 2014 tacoma 4x4 trd sport would be with a 3 in lift with some cooper stt tires. My garage is a few inches shorted than 7 feet.

    The stock one is like 70 inches, how much do the tires and lift add?

    Does this make sense to anyone? lol I hope I explained it right.

    My buddies 2008 has a 3inch lift and 33 Toyo's on it, no issues getting into my garage that is 7ft clearance.

    OP, depends on the tires too. You said a 3" lift but you also have to calculate how much bigger the diameter will be of the new tires compared to the OEM ones.

    That's what I was looking into when I was wanting to lift my truck. [​IMG]

    Yeah I was thinking about that to, I was wanting the duratracs or the coopers not sure on the size though. Which ever size would look the best on the truck I guess.

    Only thing that keeps my lifted taco out of the garage is my antennas. (cab mount 1/4 wave 2m and bedside mount 3' CB antenna)

    OP, for 3 inch lift, 33s look great! You will be fine with a 3 inch lift with 33's fitting in your garage.

    A typical standard door or garage door is 6' 8" or 80" high.

    No the garage is like 80", I'm tracking. I just wasnt sure how much the lift/tires would add but from what everyone has said it should be good. Thanks everyone.
