That's no joke. The quality and prices of welding labor on E Coast will make you learn very quickly. I wish I had taken the time to pick it up.

There used to be a nice welding shop next to the auto hobby shop on Mainside Lejeune. I'm actually TAD there this week and will check it out for you.

Hey MrGrimm for the next big purchase for my truck I have narrowed it down to either a regear and 35's or a +2 LT kit. Since you have both of them I figured youd be the person to ask. Which would you recommend to do first for crawling and some high speed stuff. Also I noticed that you dont have a front locker, is it something that you wish you have? I would throw an ARB in the front when I regear (I have the factory e-locker). Thanks for any help you can offer, your truck is definitely an inspiration for me.

I think your rehear and 35's would be better for but be prepared to cut and chop to make them fit. I do wish I had a front locker but that will come later on.

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
A regear and 35's will get you farther up the trails but +2 lt kit is more fun every other day of the week in my opinion. I have both as well.

Okay thanks for the help! Do you think the LT is even worth it if you arent hauling ass through the desert? I have been lurking on the "3in lift and 35's no body lift" thread so i know about the cutting that is required

So far I have really liked the +2" kit. In the desert it is super smooth but the rear end can't keep up with the front. So if you are looking at that route, have a plan for the rear otherwise you will not have the full capability of that LT setup.

I am basically looking at selling the LT kit next year and going with a solid axle up front on 37's.

It was a last minute thing. My wife had to go up to Palm Psrings so I took my bits and ran it from East to West.

Pilot Rock is another fun trail that's not too far from Cleghorn, just on the other side of Silverwood lake.
