HELP ASAP W/ SPIDERTRAX

    the nuts that hold these things on are pretty deep so there are quite a few threads biting in, but are the studs supposed to be this recessed in the spacers?
    help asap please. truck is on jackstands now. (this is with them torqued to 85ftlbs)

    Something isnt right. Are you sure you are using the right nuts? you should have way more thread protrusion than that.

    yes its torqued at 85 ftlbs right now. so you all dont think im retarded, im a mechanic and have been for 6 years but ive never installed or seen spidertrax installed before and i knew this didnt look right

    I'm not sure what is wrong with yours but here is a picture of them installed on my 09 taco for reference. The nut threaded on all the way until they were flush with the end of the stud.

    How thick is your spacers ?

    I ran into the same problem with my 2010 reg cab. I ended up replacing all the studs. To me they aren't grabbing by enough to be comfortable going down the highway.

    if it fits an fj, it will fit a tacoma and any other 6 on 5.5 toyota right? guy i got them from stated they were on his fj and tacoma

    Yup, those look like the right conical nuts. Either the spacers aren't the right ones, the machining isn't deep enough, or your studs are too short.

    the nuts on the spidertrax site are completely different than these...

    spidertrax nuts dont have the big bulge in them that these do. at least on their site they dont
