    i got the avic-d3 also... it's great, except for the fact that you need the map dvd in to set a destination. some head units come with internal memory... the d3 comes with just enough to set a point... then you can switch the dvds to a movie or whatever. the ipod hookup is awesome... fast connection and can charge the ipod at same time. you can also install a backup cam and view on screen and still have another vid input for your games... i don't have the bluetooth yet, but before I get a $150 ticket, i may install soon.

    there's a way to do custom backgrounds on the avic-d3 but I've burned a dozen cd's that didn't work.

    951TRD, does this unit hook up to the steering controls? How much did all of 3the parts cost you for this setup. FYI, they now sell the AVIC-D3 with the bluetooth incorporated into it. Thanks in advance.
