When installing the bumper is there cutting req'd and if so what tool do you recommend.

I took two days off this week from work to get my truck all set up. Bumper and lights on Thursday. New springs on Friday and possible wheel spacers. Still undecided about the winch as it could mean I will be sleeping on the lumpy couch for a month.

 

After seeing Tyler's products in person and in use yesterday if I had a 2nd gen I would be running front and rear Pelfreybilt bumpers. Very nice work.... Good wheelin with you yesterday. I am in for the next one for sure..

 

tin snips will work or a dremel with a cutting wheel. It isn't that much to cut .

 

I passed you yesterday on Holcomb valley rd. Recognized your truck and Deans and they look awesome.

Planning on ordering a bumper this year, slowly convincing the wife lol.

 

Fresh razor blade will cut right through the liner as well.

 

I believe that is an n-fab light bar that you are talking about.

 

Does the IFS skid work with sick mid skid?

 

The ifs skid goes all the way to the rear of the engine/oil pan. It replaces both of the factory sheet metal ones.

 

ohhhhhh see, i thought it was just covering the LCA's now i know! so if i wanted total protection up front, IFS skids and the forwardmost visible skid plate is it? you also have a mid-skid or something? what is that for then?

ok, yeah i had seen that before.. i just got a little thrown off by his explanation of IFS skid, which doesnt include the LCA's i now know.

I have the Pelfreybilt IFS skid and it is BEEFY

 

Question regarding installation. What does it mean when it says to remove sway bar brackets?

 

The sway bar brackets that hold the sway bar to the frame get unbolted and the reinforcement plates slide in under them and then the brackets are bolted back up.

 

Here's a pic of what Tyler is talking about. My resi mounts are where the sway bar usualy mounts...
