    I could never live in an apartment for this reason...i guess I could go to my parents house to use their garage...but that would get old for both of us pretty fast. Plus every time i show up my dad tells me how im ruining the truck. and heaven forbid if i worked on the motorcycle there!


    this is my 2nd bed room, non of my room mates use it, so i have taken it over

    it stays "organized" for at most a week or two before there are tools and parts scattered every where and another project begins.

    Haha this is why I hate living in the dorms. I can't work on the truck 6 months out of the year unless I want to pay the rude owner at the auto hobby shop $3 an hour...

    I hear on the dad thing, mine says the same thing. I'm interested to see what he says when he sees the bumper and headlights...

    My friend won't even use it for his car much except to park it in during snow (Pontiac G8). It'll give me chance to buy a welder and a tool chest too.

    my mom is indifferent. she gets a kick out of it and wants to go wheeling with me. my dad instantly assumes worst case scenario and is instantly negative no matter what project I take on the truck. from putting lights in the plastic grille to tubbing of course. Everything ruins it lol.

    And he is getting worked up when I modify it! Oh hell, wait till he sees when I start to really use it! Cutting it up was me being nice. I will be surprised if I have a single body panel without dents by the end of the summer lol!

    I loved seeing the look on his face when he came home and all the chrome was blacked out on my 96. He couldn't help but agree that it looked much better.

    I'm surprised he didn't lose it when I told them my "side steps" were welded on :rofl:

    shit, the local club is putting on a ladies trail run next month, where the guys only spot and navigate and the girls drive and I told my mom I would take her wheeling since i havent yet, and have her run the whole trail. She is so excited haha!

    He offered to straight trade his 09 2.7 Tacoma the first day he saw it haha

    Yeah, my dad saw some of my pics and began to kind of understand. But he still doesn't understand using a vehicle for anything other than driving.

    for being a 96, mine was bone stock and mint with 124k. bought it from an old guy who hauled fire wood some times. Bought it in good condition (which is why I boight it) and paid a pretty penny for it. Now i have ruined it, and I couldnt be happier. Always say i want to go back to the guys house in mccall and show him the truck I bought 3 years ago
