I'm planing on doing some routine maintenance to include changing my sparkplugs. The stealer ship has the denso plugs for $10 each. That seems steep. Is there a huge difference between plugs? What brands do you guys use if not denso?

They also want $10 for a pcv valve. They're usually MUCH cheaper. I hate my dealership.

I have had good luck buying from these guys.
    Sparkplugs.com

They have been much cheaper for everything form lawnmower plugs to NGK wires and laser iridium plugs.

What's the difference in plugs? Copper vs laser iridium or whatever. I have no clue. And napa has the denso plugs for $4 each

I used E3 plugs on my truck and noticed that it sounded better after installing them, it wasnt a huge notice but i could tell that it was running better.

There's a thread somewhere on these boards (or it could be a conversation in that thread I posted earlier) where the higher grade spark plugs give no discernable difference in performance. Think Chris4x4 wrote it. You'll be a-ok with the Densos.

Got six (Denso OEMs) for $21 shipped from Dahl Toyota. Ask for Nathan and he will set you up.

I don't know their site off of the top of my head, but here is their ebay store. I have brought quite a few things from them that weren't on the ebay listing - I just asked and got a qoute that included shipping. Nathan will hook you up.

You don't need the weird plugs for the 4.0. I have to use the laser iridium plugs on an Accord I have. It has a 100K interval. For my 3.4L first gen you had to use dual electrode plugs.

For the 4.0 I would just use the same NGK plugs for all six that are listed in the manual. They should not be expensive.

Thanks for the replies. I'll just pick up the denso plugs and keep on keeping on.

Either Denso or NGK will work, as they are both OEM. I bought Denso's from advance auto, and they were reasonably priced.

I have an 05' with the 4.0 and as solid as the pcv vavle is on it I dont see myself ever replacing it. Its not one of those incredibly cheap plastic one's like the most of the vehicles I have owned. I just took it off and cleaned it with Air Intake Cleaner, and blew it out with compressed air.
