    The more I think about this the more I believe that the higher octane is masking the issue. You do not have a superchargcr :)D), so you have not increased the pressure in the combustion chamber to require a higher octane.

    In your trip out here it was not consistent because the formulation of the fuel here is not the same as what you get in CDA/Moscow.

    I also think being a sea level uncovered the flaw in your solution. 89 was not enough to mask the issue. At sea level you would of had to run 91 or 93 to mask it in the same way.

    I also go back to the fact that your random plug has varied corrosion on its surfaces depending on which side is facing the injector. Run your seafoam in the fuel to see if it is varnish in the fuel system creating the trouble.

    carbon buildup wouldn't get burned off if it's at the point where it has a deposit on the cylinder walls. kinda like carbon buildup on gun internals

    I know jack shit about engines but chem's my thing. hope the seafoam works

    Yea but if a knock sensor is bad..it'll throw a code or put the truck in limp mode. Which is what happens when you have knock..so its not failing but something is happening that is making a code not be thrown.

    was a popular thing for supras to rewire them directly with heavier shielded wire as they would pick up interference in the harness and up the car in limp mode.

    Elevation and humidity will affect the way fuel burns. There is more oxygen at sea level than in Moscow and correlate. That could also be a factor in pre ignition that would explain the problems at sea level. It also could be timing chain stretch:stirthepot:

    this is the first and only thing ive read but typically in the case of an octane solved issue either youre pushing lots of boost on stock internals and need to either lower your boost or lower your compression OR you need to clean the carbon out of your motor via some sort of high end cleaner and rod the piss out of the truck while you do that.

    I just think if your going sas, you would want to stay low and maintain as much droop as possible. Uptravel isnt really necessary. A good shock or coil setup will handle bumps just fine... Dont need to be jacked up 4' in the air to handle bumps. Also sas inst meant for hauling ass over bumps
