Greetings. Had the truck for 5 yrs now and I want to have some work done on it.
    1. Would like to lift it. 4 to 6 inch range would be nice. Why am I only finding 3 inch after market products?
    2. New rims and tires. Not too "baloony" and not too thin.
    3. What are good headlight replacements? I drive alot at night.
    4. would like to get a cover for the bed but im only finding covers for 05 and newer. Am I looking in the wrong spot? Please help. thank you

I've just recently put 33x12.50 R18 on my 2.7l Pre-Runner. Will it hurt the drivetrain to go mudding? Or should i drop the gears first?

anytime you throw bigger tires on it creates more resistance to the axle torque because they are heavier, bite way more and the larger diameter tires with stock gearing throws a bigger load on the drive train. I had 33" on my 2.4 with stock gearing before i regeared. the biggest thing is how drastic the wheel torque and speed dropped. youll be fine, I took mine through a bunch of stuff and never had a problem. you'll have a huge smile after you re-gear with that tire size, night and day difference! have fun,

    ok, here's what i did...
    1. 6" Fabtec suspension (you can find in any off-road 4x4 shop)
    2. American Racing Mojave (teflon) 16x8.5 w/35" BFG Mud Terrains (you'll have to do a 1.25 spacer so you don't rubb your knuckles)
    3. Keep your headlights and go to a led replacement bulb (the aftermarket headlights look like a bag of crushed assholes)
    4. I got nothing for the bed cover... (never needed one or even considered one).

i hope this helps, all the mods listed above i've done to mine and love the results...

There is a company called "electric life" that made a conversion kit for the Jeep TJ that I had a while back. The install was not difficult and the windows went up n down smooth and fast. Maybe they make a Toyota kit?

Gentlemen, please take this to a new thread. You are more likely to get the help you seek. Most people wont give you the help you need because you are in the wrong thread. When you get it figured out, do a write up and post that in here so the OP can add it to the first post and help other in the future.

OP- can you get a mod to clean up the last page?

trying to figure out which tire will look best on my 00 prerunner TRD. Looking at 265/70R16 and 275/70R16 anyone seen or had tires like that on a 00 Tacoma? would 275/70R16 be too wide and look awkward ? ride quality etc.?????????

I'm running 265/70/R16 on my 01 Double Cab. Fills the wheel-wells nicely. I think the largest you can go without needing spacers is 285. As for ride quality, I cant really comment there since my suspension is shot at the moment, currently waiting to get new suspension as well as new tires (current ones are dry-rotted). They shouldn't make a difference in ride quality, however will slightly decrease fuel economy because of more friction and rolling resistance.
