Guy I just printed my first ever BIG prints for an art exhibit I'll be in held in Omaha. (Big for me anyway ha)

    24" x 36"

They were edited and cropped jpegs from a 16mp mirrorless camera and they held up flawlessly. I can't wait until I can shoot raw with this bad boy. Let the DSLR fanboys try and say these are toys or lesser cameras but dang was I impressed with how sharp these prints are ha

I'll post up pics when I have them mounted and ready to go.

What I'm really nervous about is that its an open exhibition. So people can enter whatever. 2-D, 3-D, photos, paintings, pottery, sculptures, whatever. So there will be judging as well as being able to put a price on your work. I chose two photos from a current personal project simply because they mean something to me. We'll see. ha. I'm not "in it to win it" as much as just honored to be asked to have my work shown. Pretty cool ha although if they don't sell I have no idea what I'll do with two giant prints of people I met on the street ha

Yeah, we have some characters around campus but I can barely hold a conversation with them.

I'm finishing mounting them tomorrow at 4:00 ish. I'll post up tomorrow night with me holding them for scale ha

They are the two guys from my '100 Somebodies' project (which has been stagnant lately ha only been shooting candid stuff and the few portraits I got they asked that I not put them up, which is fine).

I've found the wifi to my phone to be enormously helpful when taking people's photos if they want a copy. I just text it to them.

Thought about it. I guess the only difference between the X-E2 and the XT1 is the evf. Otherwise, same sensor and focus system.

They do look great, but it'd be a tough sell to convince my SO that one of those guys need to be hanging on my wall...

Sometimes the Gallery buys things to put up if they don't sell and the school I go to may let me put them up until I figure out what to do if they don't ha I'm just honored to be asked to be in the show. If the don't sell, they don't sell, I couldn't care less ha

I am going to the Judging next Thursday. I'll let you all know how it goes.
