    My local tire shop learned a valuable lesson today...Don't use lead wheel weights on my brand new full size spare rim.

    A few weeks back I ordered a 5th rim so I have a matching spare. Got it from 4wd parts with free shipping (somewhere around $100)

    Then a few weeks later I went to local tire place to order a Kelly Safari TSR. I bought my other 4 Kellys from this place last year.

    Today I had my wife drop off the rim and tire to have them mount and balance it. When I got home, I noticed they hammered on 3 lead weights on the outside face of the rim.

    Got me pissed since they used glue on weights on the other 4 and it looks like total shit. Not to mention its bad practice on an aftermarket rim.

    Went back there and they quickly changed it to glue on weights on the inside. But I noticed they took a gash out of the rim finish and tried to hide with black marker.

    I went off on the owner and told him he owes me a new rim. After a heated face to face argument, he basically threw $100 at me and said I was robbing him and the money is coming out of the techs pocket.

    Great end to my birthday...sorry for the rant
