Thanks, honestly its not clear-coated yet. I didn't use a clear-coat on the corner lens trim and it came out really smooth and shiny, soo I did the same on the grille. Didn't turn out as good. Prob b/c it was a bigger surface area or I actually prepped the grille lol. anyway.. what would you suggest .. Oh Sultan of the Spray Can?

 

Sherwin Williams sells a two part automotive clear coat (that you release a hardener into). Comes in a spray can. It is ridiculously tough stuff. My rock/bug shield got pitted a bit this winter driving up into the mountains. The clear on my grille was unphased.

Since it's on the leading edge of your truck I highly recommend applying it before you drive too much.

Oh, and wear a respirator. That is some of the most volatile smelling stuff I've ever endured. Vicki Iulliani's hoo-haw withstanding.

At 3.75" of BS, is the edge of the tread pretty much even with the outer part of the flare?


Like this? Or do they stick out even more? I think these are 3.75 but they might be 4" of BS (no spacers).
