my local firestone did that to me with all my tires. I refused to pay them and dude got all pissy. I specifically told them to cycle each tire to insure it cleared my front brakes with the stick on pads so when I rotate the rears they don't whack my calipers and fall off. I specifically said no rim weights because I would bash them off.

I ended up taking them over to STS where they were able to comprehend my simple requests.

 

That sucks dude. Glad you at least got it covered but still.

What really rustled my jimmies was they tried to hide with black marker. I thought the owner was gonna punch me. He was shaking after he asked how can he make it right and I said "Give me $100"

We were literally nose to nose for 10 seconds. Piss poor decision. Last week I was recommending them to another member on here.

 

The guy I just got my tires from took the glue-ons off and put conventional ones but put them on the inside lip of wheel....
*not sure if this is common practice, I know the balancing the comp. tells you where to put the weight radius wise but does it also tells where inside/center/outside of the wheel?

You can balance a wheel both inside add outside (2 plane) or static which puts weight just on the inside. I personally like hammer on weights over stick on some don't stick so well.

 

Yeah i was very tempted to walk away with my tail between my legs. But they screwed up twice and tried to cover it up. If I really wanted, I could order another new rim...Ill post a picture on here tomorow. The scratch is about the size that a hole punch would make in paper

 

I was expecting a XXXX correction from rim to wheel. Leaving disappointed

But really, it's good you didn't let them get away with that hack job, Jeff, even if getting confrontational about it may not have been the best idea. But hey, that's the Jersey way, right?

 

sorry to just drop in, but I was driving in West Trenton today and saw a 05-11 red DCSB sport, black wheels. Just wanted to know who it was. Looked like it had a satoshi but not sure. thanks!

Looks exactly like nj636 but it had a scoop and hid headlight w/o projectors which is what caught my eye. hmmm

That may be the guy but this guy had a satoshi, prob just dropped it in recently.
