Just an fyi for anyone utilizing the RI CT spot in the next 18-24 months. The utility that owns the power line easement as well as the utility which owns the gas line easement will be doing construction/upgrades. There is already work being performed. I would seriously consider staying off the power line and gas line easements during the week, and be cautious on weekends. Especially on the gas line, they take trespassing extremely seriously.

In addition if there are swampy areas that are fenced off stay out of them. I saw one such area along the gas line that had orange construction fencing around it that was clearly run over by a 4x4 to go drive through the mud. There are and will be environmental monitors there for the duration of the work. They put these fences up for a reason. Destroying the areas they are trying to protect is a great way to get the whole place shut down. Things like that during construction projects can easily be, and often have to be reported to the state DEP as a condition of the permits to work in those areas.

There will also be increased police/ EP presence during this work at the request of the utility to try to cut back on the theft and vandalism that always happens. The utility will be supplying the local towns with atvs to patrol with and are paying the OT to have them patrol during non-work days.

It's probably a good idea to try to stick to the trails as much as possible(Google maps the area, you'll see what I'm talking about).

Construction is just ramping up now, and will be hot and heavy on the coming months. There will be power line, gas, and environmental monitors out there every working day in addition to increased law enforcement presence. Not trying to deter anyone, just a heads up. The utilities know that people are using their right of ways and generally don't have the resources to monitor use/ or care. However when they are doing work in their right of way they take trespassing/ environmental issues extremely seriously.

The best beers are the ones you can't see through.
The REALLY best beers are the ones you can't see a flashlight though.

Hey your doing mapping for what trail run? I am also a member of ENH and wheel with them a few times a year. Never get to wheel with any other Tacomas when I go. Great group of people. Actually looking at doing the Overlanding trip they are setting up and the June 1st run. I usually do the stock/moderate runs, I need my truck to get me to work
