Dang. Thanks Nate! The cop also said my rigids on my hood were illegal to just have there. I wasn't using them. Is that true too?

IIRC off road lights need covers while on the street. most wont bother you but there are some A-Holes out there who will

a good example is...the no cell phone law in hawaii is written as "No mobile electronic devices" Recently people have been pulled over and given tickets for using their E-Cigs in their cars. cops are saying its a mobile electronic device. which the law was never written to cover electronic cigs. just being a-holes.

Ive seen people eating, smoke normal cigs, put on makeup, read a book??!?!.....

    stuff...
You need to have your headlights on at night, and that's why you had to modify the factory switch to turn on your fogs independently from your headlights.

Don't know if the placement of the rigids are the issue... You aren't supposed to have more than 4 forward facing lights. If not they are supposed to be covered.

I think I saw you before driving with your only your fogs on, but convoying with another truck with strobes on the roof or something like that. Don't know why you had a strobe on....especially while driving on the freeway. Is it just for attention?
And I'm pretty sure you can get cited for convoying as well. They do it to the racers that aren't even racing...

Called Scotty's.. about $125 per side to take care of the LCAs. Another $110 or so for alignment.. May just go that route cause anything under 5 bills is a lot less than some new LCAs. Was starting to look forward to the Dirt Kings though.. sexy..

May post some pics later of my front suspension.. See what else may need to be replaced.. But because I'm not spending on new LCAs, I can look at extended break lines.. lol..

    Too long to list :D
They are by no means illegal to have mounted there. But technically they need to be covered. Can not use them (or be able to use them) on public roads.

And the only actual written law that the RECON guy said I may be violating is no operational forward facing lights above 54" (my roof bar is at like 74"), but he said if it is covered then it is not technically operational so he wrote on my RECON that the LED's are fine if covered.
RECON told me you could have up to 6 forward facing lights on at one time, but they all had to be under 55w and DOT approved. If they are over 55w or not DOT then they have to be covered or non-functional.

The inspector at recon told me my rigid duallys and reverse lights had to be covered. I didn't have covers for them, so he let me remove them. Any non dot approved lighting.
