The bottom pack has a straighter overload leaf and top has more arch. Switching them def made truck level and now I don't have taco lean... The almost 2 in difference bothered me so much I had no choice but to switch it and give it a shot

Almost looks like one of the upper overloads is installed upside down to the other

It does actually but it def made the taco lean disappear and I couldn't be happier with the lift and installing Light Racing UCAs made all the difference in terms of drivability which I installed couple days ago

    Here's the thing though

The overloads don't come into play with no load

The leafs wouldn't be touching the overloads on either side unloaded so even if they were different , it wouldn't matter

The one with less arch made contact with overload leafs sooner then the ones with more arch. The ones with more arch had to travel more down to make contact with overload leafs. In theory the ones with less arch are able to handle more weight cause its making contact with the upper 5 leafs sooner compensating for extra weight on drivers side making it level thats my theory :). Whatever it is it made truck sit perfectly level switching them

They were the same height side by side cause I noticed one had more arch then the other. One pack would make contact first on top overload leaf vs the other side and the one that would make contact first (less arch one) went on driver side. Yeah everything is perfectly level now

Yeah , but they don't touch the overloads when the truck isn't moving and unloaded , it can't effect the height of the truck static and unloaded

There was a difference or it wouldn't of sat level like it does now. Wherever it is it was well worth switching them. it has to do something with the arches thats the only difference i see and you see as well in the pic unless there is a differ in steel strength

You aren't getting what I am saying , go out tommorow and look at the rear of the leaf packs , unless your truck has like 1000 lbs in the back , the regular leafs won't be resting on the overloads except for the portion just either side of the U bolts

If they aren't resting on the upper overload , the overload arch difference can't effect the ride height

I was wondering about an overtightened shackle or lack of movement in a shackle

At any rate , I emailed ARB USA with the specifics of this question , we'll see what they have to say

    ARB's reply ~

    Hi Peter-
The CS047R's are not side specific.

    Best Regards,

So do most fox shocks come without spring seats? I'm going to order this weekend. I hope the 885's and Fox's are a better pairing.

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
The spring seats are different on adjustable coilovers like foxes, they are flat unlike OME seats. OME springs are not compatable with coilovers like fox, king and icon as far as i know.

The fox imulsions are 129 each so 260 for 2, nitrochargers are 305.00. But it sounds like I won't have much choice unless I go full coilovers.

I emailed fox to see what they say. They have standered travel replacment shocks so I'm not sure why they force you into using a coilover.

    Here's the part number

FOX 2.0 Performance Series Smooth Body IFP Shock 10-inch stroke, Bushing Mount (extended 26.85 in., collapsed 16.75 in.) $129/EA FOX985-24-005
