Other than having the fuel filter, which I know is needed, would I be able to get away with doing the FPR mod with the S/C and TRD CAI coupled with the URD pulley for a while?

I have the CAI on the S/C now and so far so good. I know the reflash is ok with the 2.85 pulley but most folks say to upgrade the fuel pump before, during or after the pulley swap. I didn't want to mess with the pump just yet since I read some with slow start or other issues...

If I have to do you guys recommend the Walbro > the AEM or Deatschwerks?

Not sure yet as I still have to get a meter and slap it in. So is the walbro pump ok? No need to go aem etc? My friends with Lan Evos say the walbros whine like crazy.

Not in it to WOT stop light to stop light etc. I'm planning to add serious weight to expo and armor my truck and just want my throttle response and power to still be there.

Although this thing is fun right now!!!:D

The Walbro isn't that loud, since it is so far away. If you had a car, you would definitely hear it. I do in my Subi. Barely noticeable in the truck though.

I have the Deastchworks waiting to go in. Definitely upgrade the pump. Cheap insurance for your engine.

Just remember. Pump feeds injectors. Injectors feed the engine.

Been running 2.85 and cai on fpr mode with stock filter and pump for 8 months wot on aem reads 10.9. I say you don't need it. Invest in an aem wideband.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge or have a way to datalog your fuel pressure?

I recommend getting a fuel pump. Cheap insurance. Cheaper than most wideband gauges.

Hahaha. Not too bad so far.

Now I'm looking to get more bottom end. The truck has a noticeable hit at 3000 rpm. I believe it's from the VVTI kicking in and built up boost. I'm trying to bolster power between 1,800-3000 rpm for daily driving. The pump is cheap insurance though. But the FPR mod is free and I hoped to hold me over for a while since I just dropped a bunch of money on the S/C and now trying to get what I wanted from it.

Wideband AFR is a great idea...but there is a reason the Boosted community recommends upgrading your pump....because there have been many ,many, many engines starved to pieces, a lot of them relied on gauges, which CAN BE inaccurate at times....A Walbro 255 is $155 , plus you have the ability to change out filters in 5 minutes...no brainer for me after dropping 5 Large on Rooting this bitch......

Wondering the same, I was over at XRU and TORSPD's build thread has the tank out... Looks pretty straight forward.

It is really easy to drop the tank. Just make sure that you are close to "E". No need to fight the weight of the gas.

Instructions are easy to follow. Tank is easy to drop. Just take your time so that you don't stress any connectors, on the top of the tank.

My best time was 30 minutes. On an Xrunner. Which makes it a little harder.
