In SC you can serve alcohol at 18 but can't pour it yourself.

AGREE!!!!! It's stupid! States can make it 18 but they don't get money to found shit from the federal goverment if they lower it, so none of them do.

I believe it would be an M4 based rifle.

I know that the m16 came about during Vietnam. And was still around during desert storm I believe. So somewhere in the 90's I believe it was phased out and they brought in the m4.

Same gun almost.....started the M4 in circulation in 1997. M4 has a 3.5" shorter barrel, slightly different sights & a folding stock.. .....Same mechanics, ammo & magazines. I'm guessing the range is slightly lower with the shortened barrel.

    collapsible, not folding.

it was still the m16 when i went through basic in '01, but last time i qualified ('11) we used the m4.

this was AF, so experiences may differ...lol

    :rofl:I put "folding" because I couldn't spell "collapsible". :D

Wish I had of joined the AF. We'd go to the field with them for weeks at a time. We were dirty, living in tents, washing out of a Kevlar pot & eating MRE's. They went home each night for hot meals, showers & puss.
