    Basic complaints/annoyances...
seats could be more supportive(4runner seats are much better)
    Oil filter location sucks!
    dash rattle on passenger side
    steering column slip joint clunk
clock is in a terrible location
frame is a little bit weak- mine has a 'shudder' when hitting square-edge bumps

could be worse, you all could have Ford Rangers...or Dakotas..or some shit...

But you don't cause you're all smart...and bought a 1st gen Tacoma

I was gonna say cause there's no twin turbo Supra motor in it but supercharged works too.

Well said. No other compact truck will ever compare to a Toyota Tacoma. Hell not even many full-size trucks will ever compare either.

Love my truck, just wish I could have found a 4X4 when I purchased mine. That is all.

Dash rattle, literally took a paper cup and stuffed it in there. to try and stop it.

I wish it was a v6 for me. i have driven second gen 4.0L v6 tacos and I love that power

You cant see the clock at all.

Worthless 60-40 bench seat, everything about them, the "console" more so.

Yeah that,s how good these trucks are. Complaints are small and fixable. My only big complaint was/is the rust. Now we know, back aways we didn't. But still rolling in a 96!!

Minor issues and they can be easily fixed minus the oil filter location, GREAT trucks!!!
    1.Dash Rattle
    2.Oil Filter Location
3.No cup holders besides the shitty one behind passenger seat in '98-'00

That's about it for me but don't get me wrong, I will NEVER get rid of my truck!

IMHO, the 3.4 is one of the best engines toyota ever made.

I'll trade you my 3.0 for your 3.4

My truck was paid for in 2000. Made it to 2012. That's 12 yrs no payment or big issues. Found nice 96, swapped to my original drive train. Looking at at least 10 more yrs. Will keep it to the end.

    Terrible ride
    Clock placement is stupid
Oil filter placement (not difficult for me, just weird)
    Small fuel tank
Worse mpgs than a full size truck
    No storage under seat

    About my truck?

Mostly the fact that through the multiple owners it's sat outside all its life, so thanks to living in the rust belt there are quite a few fused together parts that aren't supposed to be that way underneath.

Not really that much...clock location, squeaky seats, oil filter location, getting stuff
in and out of the access cab not always easy.

I really miss the color contrast on the gauges, tach, and speedo on my 02'. Gauges on my 13' not Nearly as easy to read
    because of the colors.
