How Are You Guys "Mounting" Your iPods?

However you may be plugging in, how are you guys mounting-using your mp3 players? I had a cup holder mount that worked fantastic in my honda...but doesnt fit anywhere in the Taco. So far Ive just been laying it down in the rectangle next to the shifter.

Any suggestions and/or links for something a little more...organized?

 

There are these rubber pads that stick to the top of your dashboard, anything you place on those rubber pads will not slide off (i.e. cell phone, ipod , etc) it works pretty damn well for me cant recall a time that my ipod's ever fallen off haha

 

Mine's in my cupholder, but I have been thinking about getting one of these

It sits in the shallow holder next to the gear shift. Cell phone goes in the cup holder and any kind of beverage either goes in my hand or on the floor...

 

I'm using the pa15-toy adapter (hidden under the console) w/ my nano...

 

Ditto- I've got pleanty of control thru the radio that I don't need to see or touch the iPod cept if I want it outside the car.

That looks SHARP...almost makes me wish I liked driving automatic trans...but not quite.

 

I use one of those sticky pad things mentioned above but i put it in the blank area behind the shifter next to the little cupholder

 

I keep mine in my shift boot. and I try to sling it out every time i shift!

that is baller...super clean...i just have an aux jack in the pocket to the left of the radio runs to the back of the deck

 

I tried a couple of different ways, with little luck...I decided to make my own. I have since cleaned it up a little but you can get an idea...I think its in post#6. Its solid as can be with no probs at all

mines is under my seat...

 

Mine 80 gig stays in the center console all the time. The cable is routed up to the corner of the console and you can't see the wiring from the outside. But you can also take the ipod out of the console and still close the lid if needed.

I didn't want it in plain view for someone to be tempted to break my windows and steal it.

 

Do some research on how it mounts behind the climate control panel.

I have a GPS mount that mountes on the upper & lower rails of that same panel. If you're not careful (or have it in a certain place), it pulls the panel out frequently. I've been able to keep that to a minimum - but the company stopped making the mount because of that.

 

This is where my ipod sits. I don't need to touch it since the controls are all on my Alpine headunit.
