This is the LS460Rs as seen here: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/components/projectors/bi-xenon-lexus-ls460-r.html.

You would also need a D2S Elite HID system for that (with the H4 MotoControl harness): http://www.theretrofitsource.com/hid-systems/morimoto-elite-d2s-hid-system.html.

Yes, oven baking is required for nearly every headlight as it heats the entire seal at once rather than just a small spot with a heat gun. :)

Andrew, are the Gatling gun shrouds supposed to be modified in order to fit on the 3.0s ? Had to cut mine a decent amount

That is a nice looking ride!

How wide are those LED fog lights and what did you have to do to get them to fit and mount them?

the LEDs are about 6" I believe. It took a lot of cutting and fitting to get them how I wanted them. Kinda hard to explain. haha

Yes, the four inside "tabs" must be cut to fit the larger Mini D2S 3.0, unfortunately.

The mini ds2s are the easier of them to install on a 2nd gen right?

Mini D2S and Mini H1 are the easiest, but the Mini D2S will perform better.

I have never quite understood this and have also seen many arguments the other way... Just out of curiosity, what makes the D2S out perform the mini H1

So, it just lights up directly in front of the truck better? What about the color of the cut off line?

The cutoff line is way better on these but some people don't like that blue cutoff. I'm not 100% sure on the foreground since I haven't used the H1s personally, there's plenty of comparison pages on hidplanet.com

I plan on making an order soonish and just want to clarify a few things first.
Im going to go with the BI-XENON FX-R STAGE III KIT
    2.5" projectors, ds2 3five ballasts, 3five 5000k bulbs, apollo 3 shrouds, motocontrol bixenon h4/9003 wiring and 100m halo.
    Any thoughts on that?
My main question is, if lets say i have it all together and need to take the lens off again, will it hurt any of the projector or hid components being put into the oven?

Is there a huge difference between the stage 3 and stage 4?
Is the deal still going on?
Also any one have a pic of the gatling gun 1 with halo inside it?
Im going to black out my reflectors black and my shrouds white, as with the question, whats the best paint? krylon?

Also last thing. Has anyone in Bc Canada done this? Any one in canada have problems with dot or cops with these retros??

    Hey folks,

I plan on painting the reflectors and shrouds black. What would be the best paint for the job? I want it to have a flat black finish.

    Thanks!

You can't paint the 3.0s without a lot of work, but I used high temp engine paint on my current set

Why would that be? And what prep will be needed to get these suckers painted?

How come they are alot of work? What about the Gatling 1? (im assuming it looks similar to the apolo 3 with the halo inside? I really like the gaped look.

For prep use rubbing alcohol and then a primer. And let the primer set in for about a day or so. Then you can paint them. I rattle canned mine without primer and got all effed up some how so I had to start over
