Man don't sell the truck. I've been told by a lot of people to sell my truck, and i never will. Last year the starter went out on me and set for about 3 months before I could buy one. When I finally started it then turned it off and checked the oil my coolant had mixed with my oil. I ran some stop-leak through it and when I started it to let the water cycle-late the wipers started going with the switch off so I had to replace that too. Then I had to redo the stop-leak because I did it wrong the first time. Now I blew an axle seal and have to fix it if I ever finish getting the parts I need to get my grandfathers old press working. And I have (or had hopefully the new pcv valve fixed it, tho I don't think it did, I have not driven it seance I put it in) That misfire, but this is my dream truck and I will never sell it. So keep on it will get done eventually. Sorry for rambling on but don't give up and good luck wit it.

FINALLY ... got to test drive it today, around the block but hey it actually seen the asphalt after many many years...!!! i had to bypass the rear proportioning valve for the brakes, adjust the clutch rod and its going to need some fender trimming because the tires rub a dub dub..... but im happy with what i got so far....
luckily the transfer case seems to be fine so far and the rear drive shaft went in without a hitch, things are starting to look up in tacoma world...!!!
i got the massive spare tire down and im ready to start working on the bed i guess, i gotta get some stuff paid off and then i can work on that...

thanks, yeah the mods are the next project. gotta put my dash back together and get my parking brake cable put on and do some front fender trimming, but thats small stuff compared to what id been putting up with...!!!
i think ive got a game plan on starting with the front bumper then going to sliders then the flatbed. that way i can tie everything all in together to the main frame. while im putting my dash together im gonna install my cd player and my cb radio and stuff....
while i had the dash out i replaced all the dash bulbs with ones without the green coating so now my dash lights up amber and its alot brighter also...
i also unplugged the airbag so it dont go off while im wheeling it... ive had that happen before and its no fun getting knocked out while on a trail unexpectedly...!!!

Real nice looking cars, my dad had a 71 camaro while he was in the navy. He said the fastest he ever got it was 160, about 100 over what I want to go. Any how I hope to get one of the early 70s models and restore it when I get my tacoma to what I want it to be, and fixing my Pawpaw's 88 nissan.

the motor is already built, its a 400 modified thats bored 30 over and has the rv cam and some head work and aluminum intake and stuff so it should be a beasty on the trails.... im not going all out on it because it was my papaws and i kinda wanna turn it back into the truck he had....
