Whoa whoa whoa Sean, healthy? Lol! Is it healthy for the body to get down to 3-4% bf for a comp, no water, etc and then gorge on cookies, pop tarts, etc. You know what happens...your body rejects that shit...violently.

If you want to check my blood work you can. I can probably pull it up from my last check up.

If the guy isn't competing then he should just work out. Nothing wrong if you are competing to try and dial it in. Otherwise just enjoy the gym, eat some food, and be happy .

I should add..there is no 1 way of doing things...there are many ways to get the job done....what works for Aaron won't work for me, and vise Versa...the body is not a text book..that's why I love this sport..it's always about learning.

Did I miss something? What benefit of macro counting will be proven with blood work?

    Hey All,

I'm wondering what do you drink during your work out?

I used to be a die-hard water only guy, but then I tried Muscle Pharm Intra Workout powder and I was able to sustain a higher intensity during my work out. I like it, but I don't want to spend $$$ regular basis to have something to drink during a work out.

What do you drink? What concoctions or cocktails are in your shaker bottle when you lift? Have you found a cheaper alternative?

    Thanks!

Edit: I've tried water (of course), gatorade, Tang, Powerade, black coffee, all sorts of teas. I feel I would rather have something sweet to drink since it's that instant sugar rush of energy, but so far the Muscle Pharm Intra is at the top of my list, but I'm open to alternatives.

My weight is going to wrong way!! My wife just got her blood work read last Friday and the dr put her on the Mediterranean diet. The dr told her she needed to lose about 15-20lb. So since about Saturday til this morning I've been eating what she eats for lunch and supper and I've lost 5 lbs. According to our scales at home I'm 152.8 and last time I weighed which was sometime last week I was at 157.x I told her this morning I don't know if you've lost any weight but I've lost 5 lbs on your damn diet. Hopefully its just fat though and not muscle. I can start to see my abs again which I haven't seen them in a while. :)

Damn, shit's in the fan in here!

I still benefit from counting macros. I know some people think it's a hassle and retarded, but it works for me. If I didn't count them, I know I wouldn't be eating enough or eating way too much, depending on what my current goals are. Counting calories and macros used to be a pain, but after a few years, I've gotten to where I don't even really have to anymore because I know how much and what to eat each day on a cut/bulk. Also, as I've explained, 6-7 meals a day is a convenience thing for me. I would much rather do that than try to eat 3 big meals.

To each his own, I guess.

    pre-workout before workout
    water during workout
    protein shake after workout

I don't buy in to all that intra-workout crap, especially since my workouts are only 45 mins to an hour long.

Anyway, provided that my partner shows up today, I'll be doing Spencer's chest workout. If he doesn't show, I'm just gonna do it with dumbbells. Gotta get dem lower chest muscles caught up with the other body parts!

Have you noticed anything yet ? I started taking creatine on monday even though im cutting because I felt like I was turning into a twig. Just been drinking a metric shit ton of water. And im not sure if its just the creatine or the bcca's in the creatine but this morning where I would have normally been sore from the past three days, I wasent sore at all :notsure:

I'm not gonna start until next Monday. I wanted to do a full week taking just the pre-workout alone and then add the BCAA's next week, just so I didn't think the BCAA's were doing something they weren't.

I'm gonna go up to 2 scoops of C4 today. So far, I'm not impressed with it, at all. Shoulda never doubted ON.

That's the only thing I hate about cutting. I feel like I'm losing all my hard-earned gainz. It took a long time to put muscle on and now I'm burning that shit off. It ain't natural! The fiance wants a six pack though and Zach is gonna deliver lol. I've got no problem with being bigger and having a little more fat, but it's not about what I want lol...I think after I get to ~9-10%, I'll be happy though
