    I'd be more concerned with the leading edge not being flush with the bumper so it catches on everything and also not being bolted into the front cross member so when it does catch it peels back.

    Looks like it sits 2-3" lower than mine and I already hit mine more than enough.

    Not trying to be a dick, but who is doing the R&D on these? Maybe they need some time off?

    Oh please, certainly you're not going pull the Aluminum vs. Steel card are you ?

    I mean it looks good but aluminum is subject to fracturing around mount points & areas of contact with objects that are harder i.e; rocks

    So may it isn't as tough as steel. Weekend warrior/daily driver wanting to save some weight and still have good protection sounds like a place this skid would fit nicely.

    Oh i agree, its a beautiful skid & it will fill the weekend warrior/DD you mentioned needs. i was just looking at it from the prospective of there are those who want that protection in case they hit something & theres those who's intent IS to hit something that requires protection.... Honestly even if it did hold up like steel it's too pretty to fuck up....

    Aluminum is not as strong as steel in the same thickness , no argument there , however you seem to think any thickness of aluminum is equal to cigarette wrapper and that's simply not the case

    Work boats up here are all made from 1/4" aluminum plate , they are meant to ram logs and run up on the rocky beaches here
