For those of you that don't frequent live I got this aluminum heel plate off of eBay.

Carpets after ~8k miles, you can see the wear marks forming under the pedals:

Heel plate laying roughly where it will sit.

It comes with some nuts and bolts to clamp it to the carpet but I'm probably going to rivet it instead. Although I'm thinking maybe if velcro can get a nice solid grip I might use that instead so I can pull it off easily for cleaning.

Any of you know how the car does in the snow? I know its RWD but can it get around in the snow? Like if I were to add a couple bags of cat litter in the back?

I've heard people say it actually does quite well if you have some proper snow tires. Now obviously that goes for most cars, but being very well balanced, very responsive, and having both traction and stability control make for a car that is easy to handle in less than ideal conditions.

I have no personal experience with this however as the only snow mine sees is from inside the garage.

Just hopped in an FR-S today at the dealership while my truck was being worked on and I'll be damned if I didn't feel like a giant in it... The side bolsters felt a little tight to me

    Alright well, today went well...

Haven't driven the car since a week ago, finally had the time to get off work in time to take it to my mechanics shop and get the CEL issue checked out. Well started the car, all was normal no lights and sounded fine, headed to the shop, got about 18 miles away on a off ramp, CEL and slip indicator came on and car immediately went running rough and loss of power. I never got off the exit ramp, coasted to a stop and killed it, got out and saw oil pouring under the car. Upon further investigation found some bits of metal and 2 rockers and a nice hole in the head :(

Car is at the dealer, they will be looking at it tomorrow. I cant wait to hear what excuse they give me.

Car is at 4669 miles, no way this should have happened..

    Yep, pretty much my thoughts.

Heard it was a "first" for my mechanics shop and the dealer. Dealer asked how I knew it was a head issue, I dumped the pieces and rockers on the counter, and said I think these belong inside the head. His face was priceless, haha.

I went back to a stock header and over pipe.

Was the plan but I didn't, if I did it would have erased the codes it through when this happened. If they can tell it has a tune they would be able to tell if I had it taken off. I will fight it no matter what they say, what I had done had nothing to do with this, this looks like bad quality in the head.

Im sure there gonna bitch about something but I will get a lawyer involved or try to scare them with it. They know me already very well from when I had my car there for the front lip repair and they screwed that up big time so the head service manager claims he will make sure they take great care of me this time around.

I don't regret doing anything, just sucks I did and had this come up but I feel like this isn't a ever day occurrence.
