I dunno how your orange trim pieces are holding up but some of my green pieces are fading from the sun...badly. I picked up of 3m carbon fiber wrap and was thinking of using that on the shifter piece like you did (painted mine a gloss black a while back and don't like it now, lol). I was gonna do that, the window switch pieces, tweeter rings, and maybe a few other pieces. Just wondering if you had any tips for applying it. I know it can be a bitch, but how did you work it around the corners so nicely and down in the grooves on the window switch plates?

 

I tried looking for the thread for the center consul covers but I must have unsubbed from it, that's where I got the door handle covers. As far as the wrap goes, good luck. I spent hours doing my center consul piece around the Shifter because of all the cutting. The Window plates involved more cutting but the key to all of it was the heat gun. You can heat up the wrap enough to stretch it around corners. The tweeter rings may be a pain tho. My paint is holding up fine tho, but I did the whole nine yards with multiple coats in the oven and a clear coat.

 

I may just have to make time and re-do the interior green and do more coats. I did three coats last time and a clear coat. Maybe this time I'll do 3-4 coats, the oven, and then clear coat again. It's been a while, but for the oven, you just set it at 250 and put them in for 5 minutes?

 

I finally did the same. Mine are on the Fedex Truck to be delivered today!

I ordered mine last fall and they're still in the package, just haven't got around to them yet

 

Yes 250, turn off the oven and leave in there between 5-7 min

I feel kinda dumb, must have selected the plus and didn't realize it wasn't the elite. But I got em today and I don't mind more black for my truck thanks tho man!!

At some point haha, yea I'm not gunna even give another estimated date, it will literally be like Christmas all over again when Vin sends me the message that they're done
