    Just a small update...

    When I rebuilt my front (bearings and seals) I had to modify my spindle bushing since it wasn't allowing the axle shaft to seat against the seal in the wheel hub allowing for shit to get inside, thus causing my bearing failures... AND hub failures...

    I cut the lip off allowing for the spindle to seat further and that was my issue... Yes I greased the shit out of it afterwards.

    SO anyway... I ordered a new carrier bearing to finally fix my fucking failures and my oblong shaped shit CB.

    Last weekend I headed down to Jon's place... up? Since Wisconsin is north oh fucking nvm

    I came down ...or up...either way I came..yeah....... So I went to Jon's to get my front gears put in and get my transfercase crossmember fixed since on full droop my DS was hitting the x member. Also I wanted to install my carrier bearing and we had to make a new mount for that.

    During that time we ran into a few issues; the gear set I received was a standard rotation and not the reverse like I ordered... I called ECGS and they overnight, saturday delivery shipped my gearset out... Stephen from ECGS is to thank for his awesome customer service. He shipped it out 6:28 pm friday and it arrived 10:27 am saturday morning... OUTSTANDING. All on his dime (of $275) - for a $150 part... Thanks again, Stephen.

    Other issues, I found 2 bad u-joints one on the front DS and one on the tcase side of the rear DS... we replaced both of them

    Maybe I missed it. Part number on the center support bearing? Looks sturdy! Do you notice any more vibes since installing it?

    Dude, let me know what you think of that Badlands winch. I've seriously been considering the 9000. I know they're slow but from what I've heard from people using them they've been very reliable.

    I have put three on a buddy of mine's car haulers. He hauls 3-5 cars for scrap everyday. He hasn't had an issue yet to date. And he is not easy on them either, bird nests the hell outa them all the time. I was waiting for my smittybuilt to crap out so I could get a Badlands 12k, but it wont die either.

    They are slow, but as long as you know that going into things you aren't let down. They work and for the $500+ savings I would never touch a warn unless speed is your thing, as well as replacing solenoid packs every year.

    And yeah synthetic works just fine on them.

    Yeah one piece is still by far the best idea... Fuck these stupid two piece shafts I tell ya. I don't have a crawl box or I would have a 1 piece. It's just too long otherwise for my shitty driving.

    Oh and since both rear driveshafts are bent and not balanced anymore the vibes are INSANE.. I mean I have solid motor mounts which don't help AT ALL, but without that rear DS being balanced and straight the vibes are ungodly over 30 MPH haha. :eek:

    I would just go with the 12000, it's $50 more I think? Wait for when it's on sale for $300, or when a coupon comes out! Either way bigger can be better in this application! (It's not much bigger than my old Warn M8000)

    Haven't used it much but it looks real nice, pretty decently quiet and it free spools SMOOTHLY :cool:

    Also interested in updates on the badlands. Going to be looking for a winch in the coming months and had it down to a smittybuilt xrc10000 comp but after seeing a few of these I've considered the badlands as well. :popcorn:

    No real update here... but... Diesel noise is gone!!!!! :woot:

    Apparently I can't fucking install an EGR gasket or a header gasket, because they were both leaking :anonymous: FML... well it's quiet as a mouse now!!! :D

    Well I finally able to use the winch. It is slow, but it worked great! Did exactly what it needed no problems. I'd recommend it, if you don't mind it's speed it's great. Free spools smoothly too. :cool:

    Anywho, I was able to get some major wheeling done over Labor day! Not many problems really. I had the steering shaft slide out of my u-joint at my orbital... Mark had the same issue on his truck... Not sure what happened. Probably just excessive vibration and didn't check it ever for tightness; easy fix.

    My biggest problem I have is that I BENT a leaf spring on the driver front leaf... Not really sure how, but pretty sure the leaf is trashed... Not too happy about it and hopefully Davez offroad can help me out on this. I beat the shit out of my Marlin Crawler springs and never had any issues with them bending like this.
