I wish I could, that would be so much fun. Living in Utah, dusy is quite a ways a way. I wish I lived close enough to be able to hit dusy and fordyce every other weekend. If I were to do more rock crawling, I'd definitely get a solid axle rig with duals. I'm mainly into camping and expedition wheeling these days, but I still love a good rock crawl every now and then.

If you like my videos, subscribe. Most of them are from Utah, but they've still got the same feel to them.

That's an awesome video and it looks like you guys had fun. I'm jealous. My friend and his wife did the Rubicon for their honeymoon. I thought that was a cool idea.

Cool that you decided to do the trail from Tahoe. Its a whole different experience. If there is a next time, do it from the Loon or Wentworth trail head.

We did it from loon the year before. I don't know which way I prefer, it's amazing either direction.

You need to make it a priority, it is a world-class trail. It was every bit as fun as the video suggests.

Everybody always asks if I'm taking my truck on the Rubicon. I always answer that it's not built for that.

But you guys are making me reconsider...

    Sliders, check.
    Skids, check.
    High clearance rear bumper, check.
Locking front and rear, 4.88 check.
    Short wheelbase regular cab, check.
Gobs o' tools and recovery gear, check.
EDIT: 3" OME lift and 285/70R17 Goodyear MT/R tires.

Maybe some year I will after all.

I definitely wanna run the Rubicon! But I feel im not ready yet. Not experienced enough. No lockers either.

Any idea if slickrock is as difficult as the rubicon?

    Awesome vid BTW :)

I applaud you for recognizing this. I've seen too many trucks come back from wheeling trips with dented rockers and body damage that could have easily been avoided.

A strong desire to do a rock crawling trail is no substitute for experience. Personally, I think experience is more important than any mod (except maybe sliders :))

Work your way up to it, gain some experience, then have the time of your life driving that trail.
